We love Cat in the Hat

I got the idea for this skirt from this tutorial (http://icandyhandmade.blogspot.com/2011/03/mini-tut-spring-chick-skirt.html).  I didn't have the really thick ric-rac, but I made it work.  It was also my first time using wonder-under, which didn't go so well.  I don't know if I got some bad stuff, but it wouldn't stick on some of the corners of the Cat in the Hat fabric.  Again, I made it work and I think it is pretty cute.

Why do I always do 2 posts at once? No idea, other than when I finally get in the mood to blog, I'm so behind I always feel like I need to do a bunch to catch up. Anybody else feel that way? Anyway, here are 2 pics that give you a clue about my latest crafty project that I will eventually get done. I keep telling myself that but nothing ever seems to get done. Oh well, I'll eventually get my dining room table back, fingers crossed!

Pumpkin is 2!

So hard to believe but Pumpkin turned 2 yesterday. We've had a fairly quiet weekend. We took her out to dinner last night at a train themed restaurant in town and she loved it. Then we went to an under-the-sea kids exhibit and played around the fountain at the mall. Today we had her birthday cupcakes and she opened her presents.

She is talking a lot. Just last week we were listening to some music and she said to me "I like that song". Completely out of the blue! She even went potty in the potty chair night before last. My little baby is definitely getting bigger!
