Having some tummy time

First time in the high chair

She seems to like her high chair, up to a point. I guess that is true for most things, she gets restless pretty easily. Even though it looks like she is having the time of her life with those toys, I have to dispel that notion. She could really care less about toys, but I'm sure that she will be loving them soon. She is starting to show some interest in gumming them to death. I think her favorite things is eating, sleeping, spitting up on Mommy, pooping on Mommy and spitting up and pooping on herself (in no particular order).

Like mother like daughter

This was my hat when I was a baby. Grandmummy brought us several of my old hats for Pumpkin to wear.
Pumpkin is doing very well. There is a lot of drooling and hand sucking going on right now. I checked my baby book and found out that I got my first tooth at 5 months, so I assume she is in the pre-teething stage. She can also roll on her side which leads me to think that rolling over can't be too far away. She is also starting to learn that it is fun to kick her feet in the bath and make splashes. She is such a joy to be around.

More 4th of July weekend pictures

Pumpkin got worn out with all the loving. Daddy was so excited because she usually won't fall asleep when he is holding her.

Grandma and Pumpkin. Pumpkin was not very nice to Grandma on Sunday at church. She blew through her diaper and Grandma was soaked. It didn't help that her car windows got left down the night before and she had to drive to church with wet seats!

Napping

Ok, this picture is too cute, I had her in the Bumbo and she was fussing a little and then I look over and she had dropped off. I didn't leave her there very long, but I just had to take a picture.

Quick note

Just wanted to let Cousin H know that Pumpkin's baby dedication is August 16th at our church during the 10:30 a.m. service. To anyone that I might have missed with my previous email, we would love everyone to come, although we understand it is a long way to drive for a 10-15 minute thing. I will be sending out an email in the next day or two about hotels and hotel prices in our area, if you would like it, be sure and email me. A and I are planning to have a BBQ dinner either Saturday night or Sunday after church depending on when everyone will be getting here or when they need to leave (BBQ will be catered by a really good BBQ place in town, A will not be cooking!).

I wasn't sure how Pumpkin would do with the fireworks. I shouldn't have been concerned as she is truly her Daddy's girl. She was crying (because she was hungry) but every time the fireworks went off she would stop and watch. I'd better watch out because next year she will probably want to be right in there shooting them off!

My first Silver Dollar City trip

Pumpkin had her first trip to Silver Dollar City with Grandmummy, Uncle "A" and Aunt "S" and their kids. The first picture is after A, A, S and G had a water balloon fight.

Here she is being silly. She is really a happy baby, she loves to smile, although some of the relatives may not agree as she was a little overwhelmed by all the attention over the 4th of July and did not give too many smiles.

Sitting in my Bumbo

I'm getting to be a big girl. Mommy sat me in my Bumbo seat and I liked it . . . . for a little while. Mommy has to watch me closely because as you can see in the last picture, I can arch my back and almost get out of it. I can hold my head up really well and my legs are getting strong, I like to stand up when Daddy and Mommy hold me up.
