Not finished babyproofing, obviously

Pumpkin has finally found the one drawer that hasn't been babyproofed yet. There is nothing in there but thermos, plastic cups, etc. She loves to pull them out and take them to every corner of the main floor. I love how she tries to drink from the cups.

New project-

I've been doing some sewing and have gotten some really cute re-fashioning projects done. Unfortunately I have forgotten to take a lot of "before" pictures, but I'll be posting "after" pics soon. Anyway, Pumpkin has a pair of legwarmers that are cute. I like her to wear either pants or legwarmers so her little legs don't get all scratched up from crawling all the time (she wears a lot of dresses). I saw a tutorial about making your own from woman's knee high socks and I thought "I can do that". Typically, a pair of Babyleg leg-warmers run about $12 + tax. I went to Wal-mart and bought a pair of knee high socks for $3. What a deal, I can make 4 pairs of leg warmers to one pair of Babylegs. These would be great baby shower presents. My new swing

Got a new swing for Pumpkin's birthday, she loves it!

Fun at the Park

We just found a park in the town north of us with a nice walking trail and kids playground. We're actually very blessed because within 10 miles we have three nice walking trails and one state park. Pumpkin loves to swing, she wasn't so excited about the slide or the teeter totter.

She is really starting to interact with people she meets. Today we went out to lunch after church and she spent the whole time staring at everybody in the restaurant. When we left, she started waving at the people behind us, she loves looking at other kids. She will point and jabber at them.

Also, Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there. Hope you have had a nice day. I've had a lovely day. I got some flowers and a balloon and some chocolate cheesecake (yum) and a card from Pumpkin with a large button that said "Me, Me, Me! It's all about Meeeeee." On the inside it said "You can borrow this today if you want, Mom, but I'd really like to have it back tomorrow." Very funny, I wore it to church. I also got a 3 hour nap today, I slept like the dead. I've had a cold so I've been worn out. While I was asleep, A cleaned the kitchen for me. What a great day. I've been thinking about Mothers Day last year and how happy I was (and exhausted!!). Here is last years post Happy Mother's Day. It was such a special day!

I also wanted to congratulate my sis-in-law S for winning "Teacher of the Year". She teaches speech and mass communication at our old college. Congratulations, S, we are so proud of you.
